I'm Katherine Bridges, MFT Intern ((She/her/hers)
My main goal and desire is to help couples and families build a healthy foundation by addressing past hurts, current problems, and gaining the necessary insights to function well with one another.
From the time I was still a child, I grew up always knowing without a doubt that I wanted to work with children.
I was not exactly sure where this desire would take me, career wise, but ended up being introduced to psychology in late high school. From there I dove into developmental psychology, really wanting to learn more about how children typically develop mentally and emotionally and help those who may not be on the normal path for this.
After I graduated I began working in a community mental health organization that worked with DCS (Department of Children's Services) families and children doing skills training work. I quickly discovered for myself that a lot of families had a deeper need than simply developing coping skills and I wanted to be able to help them with this. I found that couples work is a great passion of mine.
Now I am in the process of receiving my master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. My main goal and desire is to help couples and families build a healthy foundation by addressing past hurts, current problems, and gaining the necessary insights to function well with one another.
I am a student intern and provide therapy and counseling services at a low cost.
